Beggining
My passion for programming started when I was in the second year of high school and started a course at FACENS, the course teaches high school students about programming using logic blocks (code.org).
At the end of the course, I won the app competition with my first app, a math and biology quiz. As a winner, I received a scholarship to study Digital Games at FACENS.
University
At the end of my first year in university I had participated in an educational games competition which I won in third place with my very first game called "Cat Trash".
This victory gaves me the opportunity to participate in an internation hackathon promoted by Ayrton Senna Institute and FACENS.
During the hackathon, I was part of a team with another Brazilian and two others Englishmen, we've developed an application like a Twitter just for teachers, so they could share their experiences and teaching methods.
First experience in industry
At my second year in university, I was hired as an intern at LIGA Facens, my very first time working for a company in the gaming industry.
As an intern I worked on four main LIGA titles: Joy & Toy, Un Viaje per América del Sur, ZF VR and ABB VR.
I'm very grateful because I learned a lot of experience, including presenting our games at the BGS (Brazil Game Show) and at CCXP19.
Current day-to-day work
With 3 years of game programming experience, I was hired as Middle-Senior Unity developer at FM Games, my first time working completely remote for a foreign company, FM Games, based in Greece and Cyprus.
Working here I have been learning with super talented people, special thanks to Manos Stratikopoulos, my Technical Lead, and Alex Stratistakis the Senior+ developer who was leading the projects I worked in the past 2 years.
During these past 2 years (2021-2023), I directly worked for 2 game releases: 3 of the Same and Tile Crush, and also indirectly for many other games developing in-house tools like UPM packages.
